McCain to Pick VP on August 29th

A day after the democratic convention, Senator John McCain, presumptive Republican nominee will announce his VP choice. That Friday also happens to be his 72nd birthday and America may be getting a big surprise.

Who will he pick? Minnesota Governor, Tim Pawlenty and Massachusetts Governor, Mitt Romney appear to be at the top of the list. However, McCain could throw us a curve ball, surprising even his most ardent supporters. In the past few weeks, Connecticut Senator Joe Liebermann, has been a possibility. Previously a registered Democrat, Liebermann may be the "Independent" he needs to cross over party lines.

Any VP choice will be announced early Friday morning right before there's a chance for an Obama bump. The McCain camp is hoping their man makes the correct choice, or the surprise could backfire. Either way, Friday August 29th promises to be an exciting birthday for Senator McCain.
